About the Role

We are seeking a Patient Engagement/EKG Loop Specialist to play a crucial role in supporting both patients and healthcare providers through patient engagement, technical EKG reading, and device monitoring. This is a remote role that involves direct patient outreach, scheduling monitoring sessions, and analyzing loop recorder data. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, is experienced in EKG interpretation, and can effectively collaborate with patients and clinics.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Engagement & Scheduling

  • Conduct outreach calls to educate patients on remote monitoring and schedule monitoring sessions.
  • Guide patients through device functions, remote monitoring protocols, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure adherence to monitoring schedules and engage with noncompliant patients to reinforce best practices.

EKG & Loop Recorder Analysis

  • Read and interpret loop recorder data, pacemakers, defibrillators, ILRs, and CRT devices.
  • Identify abnormal EKG findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communicate diagnostic insights with clinicians and healthcare teams through professional documentation.

Technical & Administrative Support

  • Maintain standardized clinical documentation to ensure accurate patient records.
  • Follow monitoring protocols and support scheduling efforts.
  • Utilize collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Slack to coordinate effectively.

Compliance & Security

  • Ensure all documentation and patient interactions strictly adhere to HIPAA and PHI protocols.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and data security standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree required.
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in cardiac device management.
  • 2-4 years of experience reading EKGs.
  • At least one of the following certifications required:
    • Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)
    • Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT)
    • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
    • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certifications (CCDS, CEPS, CDRMS)
  • Proficiency with collaboration applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Slack.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates located in the Central Time Zone.
